On this episode I had the privilege to speak with US Representative from Illinois’ 13th District, Nikki Budzinski. The center left Democrat, who was influenced by her Union and Education based grandparents from the center of Illinois, took some time and chatted with me about the real kitchen table issues effecting Americans, the fallout coming from the “Big Beautiful Bill,” outperforming Vice President Harris in the 2024 election, and her success in bringing back over $680Million in federal tax dollars to her district to support Head Start, Infrastructure, and healthcare services. We had a little fun running through potential top of the ticket names, comparing and contrasting three of the most popular Governors from CA, IL, and KY. But!!! We also knocked around the idea of a Comedy Central Candidate that already has experience in passing legislation for veterans… Really. Thanks for listening, and be sure to subscribe to the show on your favorite player. Nathaniel Hudson, a Seattle native who had had enough "Patagonia Clutching," decided to go make changes. This international teacher turned HR/Recruiting Consultant traded the dreary/wet Pacific Northwest for the "dry-heat" of Arizona, and then decided it was time to bounce... to Communist China... really. His work/travel took him from the far east to Africa to the Middle East, with a Euro vacay that seemed to have landed his partner (Villa grad no less), and ultimately landed in the STL to raise his family.
Hosted by JB Anderson from Gaslight Studio STL & Anthony Bartlett of Acclimate City!Recorded live at Amsterdam Tavern in South St. Louis, THE Greatest Soccer Pub in America!!!

Peter Merideth is one of the most talented legislators to have battled and fought for STL in the blood "Red" halls of Jefferson City in a long time. Term'd out, this attorney turned soccer dad, and now Creve Couer resident (sorry Peter, had to), sat down and chopped up his pathway, his passion, and why everyone just gets it all wrong when it comes to what D's should and shouldn't do. We cover a lot of ground, ranging from MAGA populism vs. Bernie Bro's, STL's fractured region, why ballot initiatives are better than politicians, and who's on the horizon that impresses. We also talk about his next run... kind of! #politics #moleg #democrat #shaw #stlouis #stlouiscounty #progressives #solutions
